Summary:The work of the Nigerian scholar David Tuesday Adamo on Old Testament references to the African proper name 'Cush' is presented in this article following the traditional threefold division of the Hebrew Bible, that is, Law, Prophets and Writings. Adamo's exegesis of representative text (Gn 2:13; Am 9:7; Ps 68:32) from each of these divisions is discussed, and his overall contribution is commented upon with regard to its hermeneutical profile.
