Description
Summary:This article attempts to exploit the pessimism of 'Qoheleth' for theology. It also struggles with issues in hermeneutics with regard to the problematics between exegesis and theology. The theology produced from a historical critical reading of 'Qoheleth' is very harsh. This inevitably leads to the problematics of 'Qoheleth' in the canon and what to do with that theology. Consequently a fresh application of the canonical approach is used to redeem 'Qoheleth' for theology - demonstrating the value of its harsh theology for postmodern Christianity.
