Description
Summary:The Elijah’s figure enlightens the Lukan portrait of Jesus, as it is said. But which Elijah? Some ancient Jewish traditions saw him as both a prophet and a priest. This evidence leads us to ask two questions: has this double identity of Elijah something to do with the twofold Ascension narrative (Lk 24:50-52 and Acts 1:9-11)? More widely, would be there in the third gospel traces of a priestly Christology?
