In this study it seemed that Esther and Judith share some commonalities concerning their style and structure. This was interpreted to be the cause of a possible common Grundlage for the prayers. Building on the results of that study the current contribution seeks to compare the prayers of Esther and Judith against their social backgrounds to see if there could be some markers to a possible common Grundlage for the prayer texts of Esther and Judith. |
