Furthermore, the intentionall:y drawn relationship between the son and the body, as well as the emotional intertwining of joy and sadness, constitute two main elements that justify the complex unity of the entire chapter 30. Al estudiar el texto hebreo de Sir 30,21-25 en relación con las dos perícopas anteriores, sobre la educación de los hijos y la enfermedad, el artículo ofrece un contexto más preciso para explicar la peculiaridad de la invitación de Ben Sira a la distracción. Además, la relación intencionadamente trazada entre el hijo y el cuerpo, así como la existente entre la alegría y la tristeza, constituyen dos elementos principales que justifican la compleja unidad de todo el capítulo 30.
