Description
Summary:In the expansion of Christian missionary activities, translated Scriptures have played a crucial role not only in the revitalization of cultures but also in the growth and formation of Christianity in Africa. From a historical perspective, one could argue that the essence of Christianity in Africa is deeply rooted in translation. This paper, therefore, aims to discuss the growth and formation of the Protestant church in the northern part of Mozambique, with a special focus on the translated Scriptures of the Lomwe New Testament and Psalms, published in 1930.
