| Summary: | This paper discusses two Coptic morphemes whose etymology has remained obscure to this day, namely the n -prefix of the so-called adjective verbs such as ⲛ-ⲁⲛⲟⲩ= „is good“, as well as the particle ⲡⲉ that often accompanies the preterite converter.
